GamerRenowned

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

GamerRenowned is an invite-only test (an “alpha”) run by Foundry27 LLC, Michigan, USA. This page says plainly what we keep about you, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. We don't sell your information, and there are no ad networks or tracking scripts on the site.

What we keep

  • Your login: your name, email, username, a short bio if you write one, and your password — stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody can read it.
  • Linked Xbox account: when you sign in with Xbox, Microsoft's sign-in (through our provider OpenXBL) tells us your Xbox user ID, gamertag and gamerpic. We don't keep your Microsoft email or any key that could act as you.
  • Linked Steam account: when you sign in through Steam, Steam tells us your Steam ID. We never see your Steam password.
  • Your game data: games, achievements and when you unlocked them, gamerscore, Mythic status, Steam playtime and library — read from Xbox (via OpenXBL) and the Steam Web API, then kept up to date automatically every 6–24 hours. We keep a daily snapshot of your totals for recaps.
  • What you make here: roadmaps (including links you save to them — the address and title only; we never visit or read those pages), favorite games, highlighted achievements, friends and friend requests, hidden-game choices, your settings, and messages you send with the Feedback button (with the page you sent them from).
  • Browser extension (if you connect it): a one-way scrambled form of its key, the browser name it reports (for example “Brave on Windows”) and the day it was last used, so you can see and disconnect it on your Account page. The extension sends us a page's address and title only when you save it; it never reads or sends your browsing otherwise.
  • Invite requests: if you ask for an invite, the name, email, platforms, optional gamertag/Steam name and note you give us, plus a one-way scrambled form of your IP address (only to slow down spam — we never store the address itself). We use it only to review your request and email you an invite. Requests are deleted 90 days after we've reviewed them.
  • Site statistics (totals only): how many times each kind of page was viewed each day, which ad spaces were shown, how many recap images or videos were made, and the name of the site that sent a visit (for example “Facebook”) — all as daily totals, with no cookie, no IP address and nothing tied to you. We also keep the last day you used the site (replaced each day, not a history) so we can count how many members are active. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we don't count your visits at all. We also keep the last time you opened the updates bell, so we can show which messages are new — not which ones you read.
  • Technical records: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, short-lived cookies while linking an account, and standard server logs (such as IP addresses) kept for security and fixing problems. We also log our own requests to Xbox and Steam data services (which service and when), without your details.

Why

To run the site for you: show your achievements, recaps, roadmaps and profile; let you find friends and compare; keep your data up to date; keep the site secure; and improve it from your feedback. That's all.

Who can see it

  • Other signed-in members can see your profile — username, bio, linked gamertag and Steam name, stats, favorites and highlights, and your name only if you choose to show it (Account → Profile) — and your game lists, recaps and achievements, except games you've hidden from others. Adult-only Steam games — and the same games when Xbox lists them from your PC — are hidden from others automatically (you can change that). A game on both Xbox and Steam shows your progress on each, unless you've hidden it on that platform.
  • Roadmap items you share are seen by members who open the share link. Links you saved to them and your notes on them stay private unless you include them on share links.
  • Friends (once you both accept) can compare their games with yours. Members can find you in search by your username — and by your name or gamertag/Steam name only if you allow it.
  • The leaderboard only shows you if you opt in (Account → Privacy). Then other members see your username (or your name, if you show it), picture, gamertag or Steam name and your totals for each week, month, year and all time. Games you've hidden from others never count. You can leave it any time.
  • The site admin can see account details including your email, to run the alpha (for example to reset a password).
  • Nothing is public: every page needs a login, and search engines are asked not to index the site.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the site, and only what they need:

  • OpenXBL (xbl.io), to read Xbox data for your gamertag and to run “Sign in with Xbox” with Microsoft.
  • Valve (Steam), to read Steam data for your Steam ID and to run “Sign in through Steam”.
  • Our hosting company (OVHcloud) and our backup storage provider (Backblaze), which store the site and its backups for us.
  • Anyone the law requires us to, if that ever happens.

Where it's stored: in the United States — the site and its database run in OVHcloud's Virginia data center, and backups are kept with Backblaze in its US East region. That includes the Xbox and Steam data we store for you.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

If we work with advertisers, we may share totals across all members — for example how many members we have, how many are active, how many link Xbox or Steam, and the games most played on Xbox. These never include anything about you: a game only appears in them when at least five members play it, and never if it's an adult game or one you've hidden from others. Data from Steam is never shared with advertisers. We only work with advertisers we choose, and never for 18+ products.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have a login. If you delete your account, your login and everything tied only to you is deleted right away; copies in our backups are overwritten as backups roll over. Feedback messages you sent are kept without your name.

Your choices

  • Hide any game from others, or just from your own lists, from that game's page.
  • Unlink your Xbox or Steam account on the Account page at any time.
  • Delete your account yourself: Account → Delete my account. It removes your login, roadmap, favorites, friends and your linked Xbox and Steam data.
  • Ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it — see below.

Age

GamerRenowned is for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has a login, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and tell members about anything significant.
